Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated was founded on December 4, 1906 at Cornell University. Since our founding the organization has “gone under,” and been a beacon of hope and inspiration for millions of underrepresented, underprivileged, and underserved communities in America as well as the world.
Our nearly One Thousand chapters in the United States, as well as the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and Asia have produced some of the world’s most intellectual and influential leaders.
Amongst our 300,000 members, are some of the top diversity, equity, inclusion, justice and belonging experts in business, higher education, government, non profit, and private consulting entities in the country. Several of those high powered experts have assembled to present the Inaugural Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, and Belonging (DEIJB) Symposium, to be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
As advocates of marginalized communities, Alpha Phi Alpha sincerely understands the importance of fostering diversity, equality, inclusion, justice, and belonging. To that end, we believe by preparing today’s professionals to lead organizations forward within the realm of diversity, equality, inclusion, justice, and belonging, we will make America a better place to live and thrive.
