Maurice's Story

Highly motivated diversity, equity, and inclusion professional who has worked in several areas of higher education to improve inclusion, retention, progression, and graduation by: coordinating university-wide and systemwide programs, facilitating university-wide diversity training workshops, collecting and assessing data, advising and mentoring students and student groups, generating funds, managing budgets, coordinating conferences and summits, developing strategic plans and policies, comprehensive policy and curriculum reviews, and more. Has worked with other University System of Georgia (USG) officials to create new policies and procedures that make USG campuses safer. A strong leader in the local community who helps create avenues for young citizens to advance their education. Creative, conceptual, and critical thinker with attention-to-detail. Excellent communicator, decisive, and analytical.
